Owen Goryl is the Media, PA General Manager, while Beth Pierce is the Assistant Manager at Restore Hyper Wellness, a wellness clinic focused on providing innovative treatments and modalities to help people do more of what they love.
Ian Campbell is the founder of eseo, an app working to create a thriving community of athletes in Philadelphia.
Beth, Owen, and Ian sat down to talk about Restore’s innovative wellness services and the importance of recovery and nutrition for athletes.
Restore is a wellness clinic with five locations in the Greater Philadelphia area. The company delivers a system of total balance, energy, and proactive healing that allows one to feel their best, reach their full potential and do more of what they love.
Restore Hyper Wellness believes in nurturing the body and leveraging strategic, controlled stressors inspired by nature. The methodology helps empower the body to do what it was designed to do with as little intervention as possible.
Owen studied Sports/Exercise Science at West Chester University and hoped to become a Physical Therapist. He had always prioritized passion and social impact over financial compensation when it came to choosing his career, so he naturally found himself gravitating toward Restore’s mission.
His favorite thing about Restore Hyper Wellness is how they make innovative and non-invasive recovery treatment accessible and affordable for the general public. He personally finds the services they offer fascinating and loves going to work every day to help people do more of what they love.
Beth studied Kinesiology-Human Movement Science at The Pennsylvania State University and planned to practice Occupational Therapy. When she found Restore, however, she says she instantly felt attached to the company’s values. She describes the environment as “like a family” and says she feels fulfilled knowing that she’s achieved her goal of working in a career that helps people.
She is passionate about putting others first, optimizing health and shaping lives for the better. After 22 years as a dancer and long-distance runner, she has developed a deep appreciation for the importance of recovery.
Clients like Jim B. motivate her to continue her work. Jim used to be a patient at another clinic that just did cryotherapy. Now, at Restore Hyper Wellness, he visits the clinic 4-5 times weekly for red light, cryo, compression and infrared sauna sessions. After working in construction for 40+ years, he says he feels like a new man with a body 20 years younger. He doesn't feel as drained, and he can move more and for longer throughout the day.
Whole Body Cryotherapy: an ancient practice made for the modern age. Whole Body Cryotherapy (2-3 minute session) may help optimize sleep and defy signs of aging while boosting overall energy
Local Cryotherapy: uses the same sub-zero temperatures to target pain and soreness, and advance healing and recovery – all in just 10-12 minutes! Both Whole Body and Local Cryotherapy may help the body relieve pain, swelling, and stress, promote healing and athletic recovery, and boost mood, energy, and sleep.
Red Light Therapy: also known as Photobiomodulation Therapy, uses red and infrared wavelengths of light that may help to boost energy levels, relieve minor pain and swelling, and balance your mood—all in as little as 10 minutes per day.
Infrared Sauna: unburden the body from stress, sore muscles and free radicals with an ancient practice made for the future. Lay back, relax and unwind as your body burns calories and finds relief from inflammation. Release minor pain, accelerate athletic recovery, boost circulation and improve cardiovascular health—all in 40 minutes or less.
Compression Therapy: may help the body improve the flow of blood and lymphatic fluid, boost recovery, circulation and healing. This relaxing treatment applies controlled, dynamic pressure to extremities like the arms, legs and hips. Intended to treat various lymphedema conditions, including venous insufficiency, and may help prevent deep vein thrombosis in sessions of just 30-60 minutes each.
IV Drip Therapy: a liter of saline fluid administered directly into the bloodstream. These drips can be customized with different vitamins, minerals, and amino acids based on your goals. Unlike traditional oral supplements, this therapy allows these micronutrients to be 100% bioavailable to the body.
Intramuscular (IM) Shots: these time-saving injections deliver similar benefits to the IV Drips in a fraction of the time. For those looking to optimize the body’s natural healing and recovery process.
Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (mHbOT): one can access increased levels of oxygen in a pressurized atmosphere to help fuel the most important functions of the body. This therapy helps optimize sleep, speed up athletic recovery, repair muscles and boost cognitive clarity.
HydraFacial: cleanses, hydrates and replenishes the skin through patented Vortex-Fusion® technology. This non-invasive treatment extracts impurities and exfoliates, then infuses restorative ingredients like nourishing antioxidant peptides to leave one looking and feeling radiant.
Circadia Oxygen Facial: utilizes a controlled amount of oxygen generated at optimal levels in the skin to provide maximum benefits and replace the ruddy look associated with acne, rosacea, and telangiectasia, resulting in a brighter complexion.
Cryoskin: facial, slimming, and toning services may help deliver a variety of powerful benefits, from slimming down to boosting the clarity, vibrance and tightness of your skin.
